Nissan Evalia all set for launch end of September

A premium product with features that will set it apart from the competition on many accounts, theNissan Evalia (Read : Nissan Evalia First Drive) is set for its India launch later this month and it is only after you have spent some quality time reading about its hidden feats of engineering and clever interior packaging that you will truly begin to understand where this vehicle is headed. Take for example the fact that with its third row folded the Evalia will free up a massive 2,100 litres of space and that further goes up to 2,900 litres with the middle row bent over as well! Family van or crafty looking caravan I wonder.

All of that cavernous space needs to be backed up by a good powertrain and the Evalia employs the tried and trusted 1.5-litre dCi oil burner that continues to serve well on the Nissan Sunny and the more recent Renault Duster.

Nissan evalia

Having received an overwhelming response to its the boxy body styled people carrier rotating on a shiny showfloor for the very first time in India at the Auto Expo in January 2012 gave further impetus to Nissan’s hopes of introducing its NV200 on Indian shores, but as what we now know will be the  Evalia. Add to that some pleasant reviews about the vehicle’s outstanding storage space, its clean and clever Japanese styling and what you have is basically an out of the box (and I mean literally) idea that seems to have covered all of its bases for yet another warm welcome, this time around the world’s third largest automotive market.
